HFC Disconnect
Sterile Disconnector

The HFC Disconnect Series ensures sterile disconnection of single-use biopharma and cell and gene therapy manufacturing systems. With a simple push of the connector thumb latch, sterility is maintained on both sides of the system throughout the disconnection process. The sterile disconnector automatic shutoff valves close the flow path aseptically, protecting valuable media while eliminating the need for pinch clamps and clippers. By using this sterile disconnector to quickly disconnect or tear down assembly tubing and process lines, you avoid the risk of contamination. The HFC Disconnect Series offer quick, secure, leak-free disconnections.

FAQ

HFC Disconnect

The HFC Disconnect is specifically designed for sterile disconnection of single-use systems in biopharmaceutical processes, ensuring sterility on both sides of the system. A simple press of the release button separates the two halves: the internal automatic valves close instantly, protecting the ends and eliminating contamination risk.

At the end of a transfer or culture step, it allows safe disconnection of a weighing bag or a sterile filter, for example, without breaking sterility. It is supplied with a protective cap for the release button, preventing accidental disconnection. Each unit is laser-marked (reference and lot) to support full traceability.
