Sani-Tech™ STHT™ -LT
Low-Temperature Silicone Tubing

Sani-Tech® STHT®-LT is a platinum-cured silicone tubing designed for the most demanding low-temperature applications. Conventional tubing tends to become brittle and crack in extreme cold, which can lead to costly failures and product loss in cold storage, freeze-thaw and cold chain operations.

STHT®-LT is designed to overcome this limitation. With a glass transition temperature of -114°C and an impact brittleness temperature below -90°C, it remains flexible and crush-resistant in the coldest environments, whilst remaining fully compatible with standard single-use fluid handling systems.

Produced entirely without fluoropolymers, STHT®-LT also offers a future-proof alternative as regulatory pressure on PFAS continues to increase, combining sub-zero performance with material compliance in a single silicone solution.

FAQ

Sani-Tech® STHT®-LT – EN

Yes. Sani-Tech STHT-LT is fully overmoldable and compatible with the standard range of hose barbs, retainers and connectors, making it straightforward to integrate into ASEPTIC GROUP’s tubing sets, bag and bottle assemblies and ASEPTIC GROUP complete single-use systems.

Sani-Tech STHT-LT supports several sterilization methods, including autoclaving, gamma and X-ray irradiation (up to 50 kGy), and ethylene oxide gas, so it can fit into a wide range of validated processing workflows.

Yes. Sani-Tech STHT-LT is produced entirely without fluoropolymers, making it a PFAS-free silicone alternative. This provides a future-proof option as regulatory restrictions on Per- and PolyFluoroAlkyl Substances continue to tighten across the industry.

Sani-Tech STHT-LT is designed for very low temperature applications. It has a glass transition temperature of -114°C and a brittleness-by-impact temperature below -90°C, allowing it to remain flexible and crush-resistant in the coldest cold storage, freeze/thaw and cold chain environments.

Sani-Tech STHT-LT is best suited for cold storage, freeze/thaw processes and fill/finish operations, any application where conventional tubing risks becoming brittle and failing in extreme cold.
