Methods Engineer (M/F)

Our human-sized company belongs to an international group and is located in Limonest – Lyon Metropole. Aseptic Group is one of the major players in the world of single-use systems for the pharmaceutical industry for the transfer of sterile injectable liquids (vaccines, anti-cancer drugs, insulin, etc.).
We are a distributor of components and equipment and our site has a clean production room in an ISO 7 environment that meets the requirements of our customers in the pharmaceutical industry.
Our ISO 13485 certification means we can compete with multinationals on the national and international markets in terms of quality, cost and lead times.
Within our Methods Engineering Department, we are recruiting a Methods Engineer (M/F). You will report directly to the Plant Manager and work closely with management, sales engineers, the Quality and Project departments and our service providers.

Profile required

Profile: You have a degree in Engineering or Technical Methods and ideally have successful experience in a similar position with project management/leadership – You have product knowledge/knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, bioprocesses – English imperative.

Required qualities: Working in an SME, the candidate will need to demonstrate qualities of autonomy, organisation, initiative and listening skills in order to deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

As a Methods Engineer, your main activity will be 2D drawing design – AUTOCAD

Your tasks will focus on the following areas:

Define and design product manufacturing ranges

Guarantees the correct creation of an article, ranges and bills of materials for assemblies

Studying and determining procedures for the production, assembly and maintenance of production equipment

Create or modify work instructions in accordance with revision manuals

Define flows (supplies to stations, frequencies, line-side locations).

Guaranteeing the definition, implementation and optimisation of production processes and tools.

Draw up manufacturing files, estimating manufacturing or assembly times

Participating in the integration of new equipment and products

Create, modify and manage versions of assembly drawings in conjunction with the technical sales department

Steering the industrialisation phase, launching a product in series and managing the prototype phase

Contribute to technological innovation to reduce costs and cycles, and guarantee the feasibility and reproducibility of manufactured components

Implementing and managing the continuous improvement of all production processes, facilities and flows

Designing and producing monitoring and analysis tools (dashboards, graphs, etc.) for production and warehousing activities

Analysing production activity data and proposing improvement plans

Contributing to the selection of suppliers, subcontractors and service providers required for the smooth running of the business

Training operators in assembly operations, optimising their work, making it easier, more productive and less tiring

Participating in the preparation of investment budgets

Provide technical support to the quality, sales and supply chain departments

Ensure compliance with quality and QHSE standards in production


Skills

Know-How

Skills required

Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CAD) software such as Autocad

Excellent command of English – German would be a plus

Knowledge/mastery of ERP (Divalto type), CAPM, CAD/CAM, CMMS, ERP software

Cross-Cutting Skills

Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or IS0 13485 certified environment

Ability to write and analyse specifications

Ability to read and design technical drawings

Ability to produce samples and prototypes

Ability to diagnose malfunctions in processes, products, etc.

Mastery of methods and tools for solving production-related quality problems

Mastery of process improvement methods such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen

Anyone with experience in sectors where traceability, quality and compliance are key requirements (e.g. aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, automotive, nuclear)
